CDL Hazmat Driver
About the Role
Our Drivers transport bulk and packaged products to customer job sites, operate vehicles to manufacture and deliver product into blast holes, and provide general blast crew labor as needed. This position requires spending two days per week overnight near the work site in the Upper Peninsula.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize safety and compliance in all daily responsibilities.
- Work closely with location and crew members to provide exceptional customer service.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Load and unload vehicles, ensuring products are handled, transported, and stored according to policy and regulations.
- Work outdoors in all types of weather, lifting and carrying 50 pounds or more of product and material regularly.
- Pull hoses, shovel, and frequently walk, bend, or squat.
- Attend training and demonstrate knowledge and competence of vehicle operating systems and product application.
- Available to work overtime to meet customer objectives.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must possess a valid CDL Class A or B with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements and current medical certification (assistance provided to obtain endorsements within 90 days of hire if needed).
- High school education or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a background check conducted by the ATF to possess and handle explosives.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and handle physically demanding work outdoors daily.
- Must be able to work under various weather conditions on rough terrain.
- Must be self-motivated, dependable, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Must pass a DOT drug screening, have a clean Motor Vehicle Report, and meet ATF pre-employment screening requirements.
