Safety and Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain a fuel delivery truck to transport and deliver fuel to various client locations.
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet customer demands and delivery schedules.
- Load and unload bulk fuel using appropriate equipment and follow established safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the proper functioning of the delivery vehicle.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery records, including quantities delivered, locations, and customer signatures.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally during delivery stops.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to coordinate delivery schedules and optimize routes for efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly and work with the maintenance team to ensure timely repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery truck, ensuring it is stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Minimum 3 years tanker experience.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
- Clean background with no felonies.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks and operate delivery equipment.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations.
Education
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- A Class A or B CDL with hazmat & tanker endorsements (Required).
Travel Requirements
- Local and Regional Areas.
- Availability to travel for disaster response, a plus.
Work Schedule/Benefits
- Able to work a rotating schedule (Typically 5/2) - May have to work weekends and holidays.
