CDL Flatbed Driver
About The Role
Dexter is hiring a CDL Flatbed Driver for a regional dedicated routes delivering trailer parts and products to our customers. This position offers steady work, well-maintained equipment, and a schedule that gets you home nights and weekends.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Run a dedicated regional route delivering to Dexter customers in IL, IN, and WI but home nights and weekends.
- Safely operate an automatic day cab pulling 48’ or 53’ flatbeds with no tarping.
- Secure, transport, and deliver trailer parts and products on time.
- Record cargo delivered and complete required logs.
- Inspect tractor and trailer before and after each run and report any issues.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, road conditions, or incidents.
- Follow all DOT, federal, state, and company safety regulations.
- Take required rest breaks and drive safely in varying conditions.
What We’re Looking For
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 1 year of commercial driving experience (manual experience required)
- Flatbed experience preferred
- Clean driving record (no DWI/DUI in the last 3 years)
- Knowledge of DOT and truck driving regulations
- Able to handle long driving days when needed
