Miller Pipeline is looking for Equipment Operators to join our team and help build and maintain America’s infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Digging, filling, back-filling, grading, or other excavation work including trenches, pits, or tunnels
- Distinguish between properties, types, and moisture content of soils
- Installation of underground cable and conduit as well as overhead cable
- Fasten attachments to tractor with clevis or wedge pin hitches
- Connect hydraulic hoses, belts, mechanical linkage, or power takeoff shaft to tractor to provide power to raise, lower, or tilt attachments
- Move levers and depress pedals to maneuver tractor and raise, lower, and tilt attachment to clear right-of-way
- Assess the area to determine if utilities were properly located prior to performing underground work
- Review the terrain to determine the best method to perform the job
- Operate vehicles for hauling
Requirements
- Successful completion of an operator's apprentice program and/or 3+ years of equivalent experience operating heavy equipment
- Valid CDL-A license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass computer-based testing, specific to the local Customer’s operator qualifications
