CDL Equipment Operator

Miller Pipeline is looking for Equipment Operators to join our team and help build and maintain America’s infrastructure. Responsibilities

• Digging, filling, back-filling, grading, or other excavation work including trenches, pits, or tunnels
• Distinguish between properties, types, and moisture content of soils
• Installation of underground cable and conduit as well as overhead cable
• Fasten attachments to tractor with clevis or wedge pin hitches
• Connect hydraulic hoses, belts, mechanical linkage, or power takeoff shaft to tractor to provide power to raise, lower, or tilt attachments
• Move levers and depress pedals to maneuver tractor and raise, lower, and tilt attachment to clear right-of-way
• Assess the area to determine if utilities were properly located prior to performing underground work
• Review the terrain to determine the best method to perform the job
• Operate vehicles for hauling

Requirements

• Successful completion of an operator's apprentice program and/or 3+ years of equivalent experience operating heavy equipment
• Valid CDL-A license
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must pass computer-based testing, specific to the local Customer’s operator qualifications
