About the role
As an Energy Driver, you will deliver bulk refined fuels and/or propane in a safe and efficient manner to agricultural, commercial, residential, and consumer end users. This is a safety-sensitive position that reports to the Location Manager and requires a negative drug test; 20% of employees are randomly selected for drug testing per company policy.
Responsibilities
- Load, secure, transport, deliver, and unload refined fuels and/or propane to and from specified locations.
- Inspect vehicle and notify supervisor of any needed equipment, supplies, or regular maintenance.
- Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company policies.
- Complete system hookups and perform fuel and/or propane tests as needed.
- Deliver and/or assist with other deliveries and tasks as required.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answer inquiries, and supply service information.
- Grow customer base by identifying new opportunities in surrounding communities.
- Perform all duties, operate vehicles, and other equipment according to established safety rules, guidelines, and company policies.
- Demonstrate ongoing communication with all levels and divisions of the company to enhance teamwork and effectiveness in alignment with company policies and goals.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance, reliability, punctuality, efficiency, and quality.
- Work scheduled shifts and varied hours, including days, nights, weekends, and overtime as dictated by business needs.
- Promote a safe and productive work environment while adhering to company policies, federal, state, and local regulations.
- Ensure the highest quality customer experience by being responsive and courteous.
- Maintain a professional company image both internally and externally.
Work Environment
- Operates in an enclosed truck daily.
- Works outdoors while loading and unloading goods, sometimes exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures.
- Frequent contact/exposure to contaminants such as fuel, propane, or exhaust.
- Exposure to distracting or uncomfortable sounds and noise levels.
- Shift days and hours may vary; holiday, evening, and weekend work may be required.
Physical and Mental Demands
- Frequently sit and drive for extended periods of time.
- Routinely sit, stand, walk, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, climb ladders, push, pull, lift, or reach overhead and with hands and/or arms.
- Occasionally climb, ascend/descend, and/or work at elevated heights.
- Repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
- Vision abilities include close and distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
- Read, write, and count accurately to complete necessary documentation.
- Communicate effectively with employees and customers using strong verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Clean driving record.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Class A or B CDL License with Air Brake, Hazmat, and Tanker endorsements.
- CDL driving experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of industry experience.
