Full-time, non-exempt position in the Water Transfer business unit. Reports to the Operations Manager; travel is required.
About the role
Select Water Solutions’ Water Transfer CDL Driver safely operates a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight. This role involves building loads for deliveries, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, loading and unloading oilfield equipment, and ensuring quality control and safe operations throughout all aspects of the job.
Responsibilities
- Transport equipment to and from customer locations using medium-duty flatbed trucks and semi tractors.
- Perform load-outs of equipment at the yard.
- Engage in repetitive heavy lifting.
- Rig up and rig down entire jobs, including unloading and positioning equipment on location.
- Utilize Class A CDL driving experience; flatbed driving experience preferred.
- Secure loads with strapping, ensuring proper weight distribution, width, and height.
- Drive on lease roads.
- Maintain DOT electronic logs and paper Bills of Lading.
- Perform vehicle maintenance on company trucks and ensure proper and current inspections.
- Comply with all D.O.T. requirements.
Requirements
- Must be over 21 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle according to Select’s insurance guidelines.
- Energy service experience is helpful.
- Ability to work as a strong team player.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to the highest quality level.
Skills
- Class A CDL driving experience; flatbed driving experience preferred.
- Experience with strapping down loads and ensuring proper trailer loading.
- Familiarity with driving on lease roads.
- Knowledge of DOT requirements and compliance.

Physical Demands and Exposures
- Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain, extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts.
- Exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust.
- Exposure to noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection.
- Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to individually lift up to 50 lbs.
