CDL Driver-Reefer Specialist
Summary
We are seeking an experienced OTR CDL Truck Driver with refrigerated (reefer) unit experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of temperature-controlled freight, ensuring product integrity from pickup to delivery.
Responsibilities
- Operate company trucks equipped with refrigerated units to transport temperature-controlled goods.
- Maintain proper temperature settings throughout transit.
- Perform pre-trip, in-transit, and post-trip inspections of tractor, trailer, and reefer unit, reporting any issues promptly.
- Accurately complete all required documentation, including bills of lading, temperature logs, and ELD entries.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel.
- Adhere to all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies.
- Secure loads and verify product counts and condition at pickup and delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of assigned equipment.
- Respond to reefer unit alarms or temperature deviations while in transit.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- No minimum experience required. Training will be provided for the refrigerated (reefer) unit.
- Strong knowledge of reefer unit operation, including startup, shutdown, temperature adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
- Ability to perform basic mechanical checks and minor reefer functions.
- Understanding of DOT hours-of-service regulations and ELD systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Prior experience with multi-stop refrigerated deliveries preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures preferred.
- Familiarity with Thermo King or Carrier reefer systems preferred.
- Prior experience with customer-facing deliveries preferred.

Benefits
Weekly Pay: Average $1,625 – $1,950 CPM Pay: $0.65 per mile. $5,000 Sign-On Bonus for qualified drivers

Schedule
Primary lanes designed for OTR drivers seeking consistent miles. Regional/home weekends can be accommodated based on driver preference. Company trucks are dispatched from our office. Drivers may take trucks home if a secure parking location is available.
