CDL Driver- Rear Load (Sarasota, FL)

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Completes a pre/post-operation check of a commercial vehicle in line with FCC regulations to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, gauges, and other components are in correct operating condition.
• Safely operates commercial vehicles on allocated routes that encompass roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys.
• Manually and/or automates controls and joystick equipment in compliance with the FCC's safety regulations and procedures.
• Engages courteously with co-workers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure all services are performed in a timely and professional way.
• Continuously monitors the vehicle's status to ensure it remains operationally ready in order to reduce downtime.
• Completes necessary paperwork and other reports accurately.
• Maintains departmental productivity standards to ensure all clients are serviced in a timely and effective way.
• Fulfills all safety regulations and procedures.

Education Job Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED

Experience And Competencies

• Garbage/Recycling experience preferred
• Valid CDL Class A or B
• Able to lift or carry heavy objects as necessary
• Meets all DOT qualifications
• Registered with the FMCSA's Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
