About the role
The CDL Driver/Operator will drive vacuum trucks, waterblast trucks, and other commercial vehicles to and from project sites across company territories. They will also assist crews on-site, ensuring safe operation of vehicles and tools.
Responsibilities
- Drives and operates vacuum trucks, waterblast trucks, and other commercial vehicles to and from project sites.
- Obeys traffic laws and regulations.
- Maintains accurate driving logs and hours in compliance with company policy and DOT guidelines.
- Completes vehicle inspection reports to ensure vehicle and equipment safety before leaving sites, staying within DOT compliance.
- Immediately reports all accidents, near misses, and injuries to the Safety Manager or Supervisors on site.
- Maintains equipment and vehicles, assists in operation of equipment, and understands safe operation procedures.
- Connects and disconnects hoses, dumps/unloads materials, and cleans out truck tank after each use.
- Actively champions a positive workplace and safety culture.
- Performs various other duties and functions as required or assigned.
Requirements
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class B.
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills; must read and write in English.
- Basic interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Basic organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Working understanding of safety principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Physical Abilities
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 lbs. routinely.
- Ability to climb ladders and stairways regularly throughout the work shift.
- Ability to observe conditions and others as a safety attendant, staying alert while seated for long periods as needed.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and in a controlled manner.
- Ability to perform inspections of sites, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to perform behavioral observations focused on safety and process improvement.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and report any incident, unsafe act, or unsafe condition immediately.
Training
- Must provide proof of successful completion of OSHA 10-hour training within 60 days of starting.
