Requirements

  • Class A or B CDL is required (or ability and desire to obtain a CDL).
  • An excellent driving record is required.
  • Driving and operation of various trucks including boiler truck and combo vac/jetting truck. Experience preferred but not required.
  • Must be mechanically inclined and able to perform routine maintenance and repairs.
  • Physical labor is part of each day with this position.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds individually or as a team when carrying loads heavier than 50 pounds.
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Able to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl throughout each day.
  • Willingness to abide by all safety rules. Safety training will be provided on the job and via formal training.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment (post-offer) drug screen.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

Johnson Service Company, a division of Midlands Contracting, Inc., is seeking a CDL Driver/Operator (Class A or B) to join their growing construction team. This position is based throughout Eastern Kansas and Eastern Nebraska, and you can live anywhere in the region. They are looking for an individual with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, dependability, and a willingness to travel.

The starting pay is $75,000 per year and up depending on experience. Assistance obtaining a CDL will be provided for the right candidate. Most projects require being out of town Monday-Friday (home on weekends), and there is no weekend work. Transportation is provided when working out of town, and hotel is paid for by the company. Nightly per diem for meals when working out of town is also provided. The position offers year-round employment (no winter layoffs).

Pay

$75,000 per year and up depending on experience
