About the role
Candidate must be able to successfully pass a motor vehicle report. Driver will be responsible for driving Vacuum trucks and Waterblast trucks to and from construction sites. Once on site, the driver will assist the crew in operating the truck and tools safely in wet, dirty environments, including confined spaces. Candidate is required to provide proof of completed OSHA 10, or higher, within 60 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Operate and set up Vacuum and Blast equipment
- Maintain and help operate equipment, ensuring safe usage
- Complete vehicle inspection reports to confirm safety before leaving site
- Connect and disconnect hoses, dump/unload materials, and clean out truck tank after each use
- Understand different hose types, tips, and setups
- Obey traffic laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate driving logs
- Immediately report all accidents, near misses, and injuries to the Safety Manager or Supervisors
- Perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours a day (climbing ladders, bending, twisting, lifting up to 50 lbs, prolonged walking/standing)
- Follow directions from managers, leads, or superintendents and clarify responsibilities as needed
- Respect self, co-workers, managers, company, other contractors, and clients
- Care for company-owned and rented equipment, returning it in good condition
- Demonstrate basic mechanical knowledge of trucks and equipment to fix minor issues
- Gather correct tools for assigned tasks
- Drive manual transmission vehicles
- Understand appropriate offload procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge of basic tools and their applications
- Ability to follow all safe work procedures
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to work at above-ground elevations while wearing a harness and protective equipment
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Excellent communication skills

- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly
- Must be able to climb ladders repetitively
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours a day (prolonged standing, walking, bending, twisting)
- Ability to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, cleaning, shoveling, and painting
- Ability to safely perform duties related to confined space work
