About the role
The CDL Driver / Operations Support person is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional transportation and delivery of agricultural products, equipment, and materials to company locations, customers, and fields.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company CDL vehicles (tender trucks, flatbeds, tankers, or similar) in accordance with DOT regulations and Liqui-Grow safety policies.
- Perform on-time delivery and pickup of agricultural products such as:
- Liquid fertilizer and plant nutrition products
- Seed, chemical, and agronomy supplies
- Equipment, parts, and operational materials
- Complete pre-trip/post-trip inspections, identify safety concerns, and report mechanical issues promptly.
- Load/unload materials safely (may include use of pumps, hoses, forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations, agronomy teams, and customers regarding:
- Delivery schedules
- Product needs
- Route changes
- Provide courteous, professional customer service at each stop and represent Liqui-Grow positively in the field and at customer sites.
Maintenance / Facility Support
- Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks under direction (examples may include):
- Greasing
- Checking fluids
- Changing filters (if trained/authorized)
- Light mechanical support
- Help with seasonal preparation and wrap-up tasks such as:
- Cleaning equipment
- Winterization
- Staging products
- Organizing parts and supplies
- Assist with loading/unloading, inventory movement, and site support as needed.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing requirements that may include:
- DOT physical
- Drug/alcohol testing
- Background checks (as required by role/assignment)
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance; ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and adapt to changing schedules.
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments and around agricultural products.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, kneeling, and operating equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in agricultural trucking, fertilizer/chemical delivery, or agronomy operations.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or maintenance experience.
