CDL Driver - Local Driver / Home Daily

About the Role

Responsible for loading, transporting, and unloading ready mix concrete from batch plant to customer job sites following established safety, service, and quality policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate mixer truck to deliver and unload concrete safely at customer job site.
• Check load to ensure concrete product meets customer specifications, including slump and add mixtures.
• Complete work tickets for jobs legibly, timely, and with a full detailed description of activity; obtain customer signature when needed.
• Follow written and oral instructions from dispatch or plant manager to ensure the quality of the concrete loaded into the mixer drum meets customer specifications and to verify directions to customer locations.
• Attach extension chutes as needed to ensure efficient unloading.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 21 years old.
• Current, valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean MVR.
• Knowledge and experience with Electronic Logging Device (ELD) and paper logs.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 100 pounds from floor to waist or shoulder level occasionally.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Climb in and out of equipment 50+ times per day.
• Climb up and down ladders occasionally.
• Work environment varies from outdoors with exposure to construction equipment noise, vibrations, building materials, dust, and dirt at operating sites to a normal office environment.
