CDL Driver / Heavy Equipment Operator
About the Role
Roux Associates, Inc. provides integrated environmental services for investigation, remediation, and redevelopment of environmentally challenged properties throughout Western New York. We seek an experienced CDL Class A or B licensed driver for dump truck operations in support of our environmental remediation projects and facilities located throughout western and central New York. Heavy equipment experience is preferred. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits and competitive compensation.
Responsibilities
- Drive/operate a dump truck in support of environmental remediation projects and facilities located throughout western and central New York.
- Model and promote good safety practices.
- Attentive to health & safety regulations, company/jobsite requirements, and project details, schedule, and budget.
- Be available to work weekends and overtime occasionally as needed.
- Work cooperatively with others.

Requirements
- Valid and clean driver’s license.
- CDL Class A or B license required.
- Preferred 2 years of dump truck driving experience.
- Experience running heavy equipment such as excavator, backhoe, loader, grader, scraper, bulldozer, skid steer, tractor, and other pieces of heavy equipment.
- Ability to work with minimal or no supervision.
- Self-motivated and a self-starter after basic training.
- High School or Associate's technical degree.
- Communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with basic Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Physical Demands / Work Environment
- Pass a company-paid baseline and periodic health physical and drug screening, as well as motor vehicle record check, as required.
- Good vision and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
- Lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Walk up and down steeply sloped terrain.
- Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy loads and perform manual labor as required.

Pay
Hourly salary range: $28 - $32. This range is based on what Roux in good faith believes it might pay at the time of posting for this position and for this geographic location. Actual compensation may vary based on job-related factors such as relevant work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications, skill sets, and internal equity.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional weekends and overtime
