CDL Driver- Hazmat

About the role

The CDL Driver - Hazmat operates commercial vehicles to deliver products to customer locations or job sites, adhering to DOT regulations and FMCSA guidelines. This role is crucial for maintaining a reliable and safe supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Follow DOT rules and maintain a clean driving record
• Comply with federal and state regulations for hazmat transport
• Inspect vehicles before and after trips
• Load, unload, and organize orders carefully
• Double-check purchase orders and delivery tickets
• Support job site safety by checking for hazards
• Take photos of all delivered products
• Keep accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and receipts
• Directly report to the Branch Manager

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT endorsement
• Clean driving record
• DOT medical certification
• FMCSA registration
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
• Must be 21 years old for hazmat transport
• Age 21 or older
• Physical requirements: ability to bend, crouch, stand, and sit for extended periods

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance
• Basic computer skills for recording deliveries and tracking inventory
• Preferred: air brake endorsement, commercial driving experience, forklift certification, Moffett certification
