CDL Driver (Full Time)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Driving a GVW truck weighing 26,001 pounds or more
• Greets donors in a friendly, courteous and timely manner.
• Assists donors with the unloading of donations, provides a receipt and thanks all donors for supporting Goodwill.
• Directs donor vehicular traffic when necessary
• Aids in donation tracking and record keeping
• Identifies acceptable and unacceptable donation items
• Serves as company ambassador and explains the Goodwill Mission in the community by providing general information about Goodwill’s Mission, Services and Programs
• Regularly communicates with the Retail Store Manager and/or Donation Attendant Supervisor
• Maintains a professional image at all times
• Complies with safety standards and follows operating procedures when utilizing equipment, tools & machinery
• Performs other duties as assigned

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Valid driver's license (type 4)
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a functional capacity exam
• At least 21 years of age
• Retain HDL and DOT medical card on their person at all time when working

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Regularly required to: stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally maneuver wheeled containers weighing up to 300 pounds
• Utilize close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjust focus
