About the Role
Gulfeagle Supply is a family-owned, full-line distributor of residential and commercial roofing and building products with over 100 locations nationwide. We specialize in servicing professional contractors, homeowners, building owners, architects, and general contractors. As a driver, you will safely transport materials to job sites, assist in loading and unloading, and represent Gulfeagle as the face of our company on-site. Responsibilities
- Delivery: Load, secure, and verify materials on trucks daily. Drive the most efficient route to job sites while observing all traffic laws and safety regulations. Unload materials using cranes, conveyors, forklifts, or by hand. Secure returning loads before leaving the job site.
- Roof Top: Climb a 40-foot ladder to deliver materials on roofs with pitches up to 8-12. Ensure proper stacking and distribution of materials on the roof.
- DOT Inspection: Perform daily vehicle inspections and complete DOT inspection booklets. Check oil, water, gasoline, and tire air levels. Report maintenance issues to the Warehouse Manager.
- OSHA Compliance: Adhere to OSHA regulations for personal and company safety.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate trucks, forklifts, and conveyors according to state laws. Record daily mileage and fuel usage.
- Inventory: Assist in quarterly or as-needed inventory counts.
- Maintenance: Maintain warehouse, yard, and trucks in a presentable manner. Perform minor repairs as needed.
- Safety: Handle materials safely, wear required safety gear (e.g., back brace, gloves, shoes), and operate vehicles safely to protect customer and company property.
- Customer Service: Assist customers with materials, report delivery issues, and address service concerns.
Requirements
- Valid state CDL Class A or B Driver’s License with a clear MVR and DOT record.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Current and valid Medical Certification Card.
- Minimum of one year of consecutive CDL driving experience in the previous year.
- High degree of attention and dexterity in vehicle control.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 100 pounds for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, and climb (including rooftops and 40-foot ladders, location-dependent).
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.
- Pass a company-required drug screening; subject to random drug testing per company policy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous material handling experience.
- Forklift experience.
- Crane operation certification.
Qualifications
- Driving Record: Less than three points or one violation; no DUI/DWI in the last three years; no license revocation or suspension.
- Language: Ability to read, write, and comprehend English or Spanish (branch-dependent).
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with roofing materials, construction, or distribution.
- Physical Abilities:
- Lift up to 100 pounds continually for up to two hours.
- Work at heights on multi-story buildings.
- Work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
- Soft Skills:
- Ability to follow oral and written directions.
- Professional and courteous interaction with the public.
- Tact and diplomacy in customer dealings.
- Meet Department of Transportation’s physical and medical requirements.
- Pass substance abuse screening; subject to random testing.

Reports directly to the Branch Manager and indirectly to the Regional Manager and Safety Coordinator. Duties may vary and may include additional tasks as requested.
