CDL Driver- Class B (Hazmat)- SIGN ON BONUS $5k

Clean Harbors in Albany (Schenectady), NY is seeking a Class B CDL Driver to operate light and heavy‑duty trucks and work equipment at customer sites. Vehicles include vacuum trailers, roll‑off trailers, van trailers, box trucks and high‑powered vacuum loaders. The role involves driving and non‑driving duties related to hazardous‑waste clean‑up.

Pay

Pay range: $27–31 /hr plus overtime. Sign‑on bonus up to $5,000.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
• Operate commercial Class B trucks and assist field laborers as needed.
• Load and unload trucks; ensure proper placarding to meet Company and DOT requirements.
• Maintain daily logs, timesheets, and various reports.
• Ensure customer satisfaction at the time of service.
• Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and DOT requirements.
• Observe corporate operating guidelines, environmental health and safety procedures, and company policies.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis (every other week).
• Perform site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL (required)
• Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment (required)
• Ability to use various mobile devices (required)
• Physical ability to meet job requirements (required)
• Successful completion of drug test and physical (required)
• Compliance with OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard facial‑hair requirements (required)
• Commercial driver experience (preferred)
• Existing Hazmat and Tanker endorsement (preferred)
• Previous Hazmat experience (preferred)
• Ability to operate a manual transmission (preferred)
• Previous manual‑labor experience (preferred)
