CDL Driver - Automated Side Loader (St. Augustine, FL)
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Completes a pre- and post-operation check of a commercial vehicle in line with FCC regulations to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, gauges, and other components are in correct operating condition.
- Safely operates commercial vehicles on allocated routes that encompass roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys.
- Operates controls and joystick equipment in compliance with FCC's safety regulations and procedures.
- Engages courteously with co-workers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure services are performed in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitors the vehicle's status to ensure operational readiness and minimize downtime.
- Completes necessary paperwork and other reports accurately.
- Maintains departmental productivity standards to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
- Fulfills all safety regulations and procedures.
Education And Experience
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Garbage/Recycling experience preferred.
- Class B commercial driver’s license.
- Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as necessary.
- Must meet all qualifications as defined under Department of Transportation regulations.
- Clearinghouse profile required.
