About the Role
The CDL Class A Driver will haul hazardous and non-hazardous waste and must be experienced with all equipment. This role supports operations during high-demand periods to ensure business success.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials using fleet and facility equipment, including vac tankers, roll-off equipment, walking floor trailers, and dump trailers.
- Operate assigned equipment safely while maintaining company standards for appearance.
- Create a positive client experience at the point of delivery.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and agency regulations.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after pickups.
- Operate a manual transmission (no automatic restriction).
- Perform overnight runs as needed.
- Make minor repairs (e.g., light bulbs, fuses, minor air leaks) and identify/report equipment malfunctions.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements.
- Willingness to obtain a TWIC Card.
- Must pass DOT drug screen, physical, and road test.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Good driving history and ability to pass a background check.
- Driving experience and tanker experience required.
Physical Demands
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Sit or stand for extended periods.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform repetitive motions (e.g., lifting, pulling, loading hoses/pumping totes and drums).
