CDL Driver

SRS CDL Drivers ensure safe, on-time delivery of building materials to job sites, verify inventory, follow safety protocols, and maintain high service standards. This role supports operational efficiency and fosters strong customer relationships through professionalism, teamwork, and responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Verify inventory accuracy and ensure secure, damage-free deliveries.
• Assess job site conditions to prevent hazards and collaborate with customers on material placement.
• Document deliveries with photos per company policy.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts or manually, handling items up to 100 lbs.
• Work in varied weather conditions, noisy environments, and fast-paced schedules.
• Read and interpret job-related documents in English.
• Operate within a 200-mile delivery radius (no overnight stays).
• Provide occasional yard support and maintain adaptability to changing priorities.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A or B with air brakes endorsement and a clean driving record.
• 1–2 years of relevant commercial driving experience.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts/Moffett’s and work in varied conditions.
• Effective communication in English (multilingual abilities a plus).
• Must be 18+ (21+ for interstate/hazmat roles).
• Pass background checks, drug tests, and E-Verify.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registration and current DOT Medical Certificate.
• Physical capability for long hours of driving and material handling.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hazmat endorsement.
• Strong vehicle maintenance skills.
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries and fleet management systems.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and safety compliance.

Certifications

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or CDL B) with Air Brakes Endorsement (required).
• Current DOT Medical Certificate (required).
• Forklift Certification (preferred).
• FMCSA Registration (required).
