About the role
Peak's CDL driver operates heavy trucks and equipment while adhering to strict safety protocols. The driver collaborates closely with field teams to effectively manage water supply, transfer, and/or disposal, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Monitors the maintenance and repair of the truck.
- Loads and unloads truck as required.
- Ensures the truck and driver are compliant with all DOT requirements.
- Maintains driver qualification records, time, and driving records.
- Operates the truck in a safe manner following all Peak's driving policies.
- May require additional endorsements such as Hazmat or Tanker.
- Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
Requirements
- Possess a CDL license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle according to Peak's insurance guidelines.
- 0 to 2 years of related working experience is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a DOT pre-employment physical.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Clean driving record.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain, extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected.
- Exposure to noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection.
- Prolonged sitting, standing, walking.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to individually lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
