Responsibilities

• Deliver goods while operating a tractor-trailer/tank truck.
• Unload using a pallet jack.
• Fully analyze, cross-check, and confirm accuracy of paperwork with cargo before departure.
• Gather necessary tools before departure.
• Drive long distances for customer delivery and pick-up.
• Report any incidents encountered on the road to a dispatcher.
• Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws.
• Inspect trailer before and after the trip and record any defects found.
• Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
• Keep a log of activities.
• Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain vehicle and associated equipment, keeping them clean and in good working order.
• Familiarize with the use of technology.
• Maintain good working relationships with clients.
• Maintain a log of trips.
• Obtain signatures upon pickup and delivery.
• Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Properly dispose of excess material from each job.
• Operate a yard truck to shuttle trailers between buildings on a rotational basis.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Class A CDL and Tanker Endorsement.
• Two (2) to three (3) years of Class A Driving experience is a must.
• Excellent safety management, time management, and customer focus.
• Deadline-oriented and dependable.
• Able to lift 60 lbs.
• Know, understand, and abide by DOT regulations.
• Must pass background check, physical, and drug testing.
• Operate a tractor pulling either a tank wagon or trailer.
• Operate an electric or manual hand jack pulling weight up to 4,000 lbs.
• Operate a yard tractor.
