Summary/Objective
The driver is responsible for transporting finished chassis to the customer.
Essential Functions
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Observance of all safety rules and policies maintained by the company.
- Preparation of finished product for transportation through appropriate load securement requirements and safety procedures.
- Delivery of finished products to customers following approved delivery routes and specified delivery areas.
- Unloading of finished products at appropriate destination through approved procedures.
- Coordination of necessary paperwork at the time of departure, at time of delivery, and at time of return.
- Final inspection of finished product and repair of minor defects.
- Receipt and delivery of miscellaneous goods as necessary or assigned.
- Being flexible and assisting with production teams may be required when necessary.
- Assistance in vehicle or product repairs when necessary.
- Maintenance of good housekeeping practices always.

- Read and process written communication including, but not limited to, work orders, and measurements.
- Meet production goals and time deadlines for company projects.
- Able to work with minimum supervision.
- Demonstrate competency in transportation and over-the-road responsibilities.
- Demonstrate welding competency and knowledge of welding systems.
- Be able to rotate to other production positions as the need arises or as is deemed necessary.
- Able to operate a Lift Truck or Tractor as necessary.
- Display successful problem solving skills.
- Show tact and diplomacy and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, customers, etc.
- Be able to work under physically and mentally stressful situations.
- Prioritize and easily adapt to changes through the day.
Qualifications
- Lift Truck Operators License preferred (training available).
- Supervisory Responsibility - This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling.
- May have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Requires Personal Protective Equipment.
Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work
This is a full-time position.
