CDL Driver

About the role

CDL Driver’s day usually begins around 7:00 AM — sometimes earlier — and ends at approximately 4:30 PM. Generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location).

Responsibilities

• Live the mission statement and act as a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service
• Split time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
• Use a Moffett forklift to make deliveries
• Interact with customers and/or crews at job sites
• Provide exceptional service to each Lansing customer and constantly strive to improve that level of service
• Keep warehouse clean and orderly
• Perform other functions as needed, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.

Qualifications

• CDL B (or A) license required
• Clean driving record
• Moffett forklift experience
• Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus, and as a contributing member of a larger team
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing up to 70 pounds
• Experience with building products is helpful
• Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude
• At least one year of driving experience
• Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
