About the role
CDL Driver’s day usually begins around 7:00 AM — sometimes earlier — and ends at approximately 4:30 PM. Generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location).
Responsibilities
- Live the mission statement and act as a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service
- Split time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
- Use a Moffett forklift to make deliveries
- Interact with customers and/or crews at job sites
- Provide exceptional service to each Lansing customer and constantly strive to improve that level of service
- Keep warehouse clean and orderly
- Perform other functions as needed, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.
Qualifications
- CDL B (or A) license required
- Clean driving record
- Moffett forklift experience
- Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus, and as a contributing member of a larger team
- Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing up to 70 pounds
- Experience with building products is helpful
- Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude
- At least one year of driving experience
- Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
