About the role
Gulfeagle Supply is a family-owned, full-line distributor of residential and commercial roofing and building products with over 100 locations nationwide. We specialize in servicing professional contractors while also providing products and services to homeowners, building owners, architects, and general contractors. Our drivers are the face of the company on the jobsite, responsible for safely driving efficient routes, loading and unloading materials, and leading teams to deliver the highest quality and best value to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive the most efficient route to the job site while observing all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies/procedures.
- Assist in loading and securing materials on trucks daily.
- Unload materials using cranes, conveyors, piggybacks, or by hand.
- Lead, instruct, and supervise others on the jobsite.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Climb on rooftops to ensure proper stacking of materials (location-based).
- Repeatedly lift up to 100 pounds of material for extended periods.
- Climb a 40’ ladder (location-based).
Requirements
- Valid state CDL Class A or B Driver’s License with a clear MVR and DOT record.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Current and valid Medical Certification Card.
- Held a CDL driving position the previous year with consecutive driving experience.
- High degree of attention and dexterity in vehicle control.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors under adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, and climb.
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 100 pounds for extended periods.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must pass a company-required drug screening; subject to random drug testing per company policy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous material handling experience.
- Previous forklift experience.
- Certification to operate a crane.
