CDL Driver

Responsibilities
- Vehicle Operation
- Safely operate company vehicles, including up to 26’ trucks, in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Deliver materials to customer project sites on time, providing excellent customer service
- Complete additional training such as forklift and other specified equipment as required
- Basic understanding and knowledge of the operation of a forklift and other equipment
- Delivery & Customer Service
- Unload materials at delivery locations and verify deliveries against packing slips
- Ensure deliveries are handled professionally and courteously, always representing the company positively
- Ability to unload, protect, move, and stage materials as specified by customer directive
- Basic understanding and knowledge of building materials
- Safety
- Adhere to all driving regulations based on state and/or jurisdiction policies, such as wearing a seatbelt
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
- Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements
- Use proper lifting techniques
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes, and clothing
- Communication
- Attend and participate in all required meetings related to material delivery and overall company operations
- Training Requirements
- Attend and participate in all required company training programs
- Miscellaneous

- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Possess a valid Class A or Class B CDL
- Minimum 1-year consistent commercial driving experience
- Works well in a team environment
Physical Job Requirements
- Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping, and manipulation
- Frequent driving or sitting in a truck, forklift, or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 lbs. and climb ladders carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Pushing and pulling carts loaded over various distances and surfaces (some functions may be performed as a team)
- Must be able to learn how to operate a forklift and other company vehicles
- Must understand and be able to use miscellaneous tools and equipment, including but not limited to: dollies, flat carts, and rock carts
- Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned

The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market.
