CDL Driver

Position Summary

The CDL Truck Driver will operate various types of trucks to provide waste removal services, ensuring safe and efficient transportation in residential and commercial areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs pre/post trip inspections and maintains vehicle appearance according to company and regulatory standards.
• Safely operates trucks in diverse environments, including residential and commercial settings.
• Provides courteous and timely service to customers, maintaining a positive attitude.
• Completes required paperwork accurately and cleans up after waste removal.
• Attends training programs and participates in meetings as required.
• Notifies dispatch of any issues or emergencies and demonstrates awareness of surroundings.
• Participates in learning opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.

Career Path Definitions & Distinctions

• Apprentice: Completes helper safety and customer service training, obtains CDL permit.
• Class I Driver: Completes route sheet for 1 LOB, demonstrates ability to operate various trucks.
• Class II Driver: Completes route sheet for 2 LOBs, demonstrates ability to operate 2 types of trucks.
• Class III Driver: Completes route sheet for 3 LOBs, demonstrates ability to operate 3 types of trucks.
• Lead Driver: Develops training plans, coaches employees, completes route sheets for all LOBs.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A or B CDL License.
• At least 18 years old.
• Legally eligible to work in the US.
• Physical ability to handle heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective listening and problem-solving skills.
• Dedication to providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
