Position Summary
The CDL Truck Driver will operate various types of trucks to provide waste removal services, ensuring safe and efficient transportation in residential and commercial areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs pre/post trip inspections and maintains vehicle appearance according to company and regulatory standards.
- Safely operates trucks in diverse environments, including residential and commercial settings.
- Provides courteous and timely service to customers, maintaining a positive attitude.
- Completes required paperwork accurately and cleans up after waste removal.
- Attends training programs and participates in meetings as required.
- Notifies dispatch of any issues or emergencies and demonstrates awareness of surroundings.
- Participates in learning opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
Career Path Definitions & Distinctions
- Apprentice: Completes helper safety and customer service training, obtains CDL permit.
- Class I Driver: Completes route sheet for 1 LOB, demonstrates ability to operate various trucks.
- Class II Driver: Completes route sheet for 2 LOBs, demonstrates ability to operate 2 types of trucks.
- Class III Driver: Completes route sheet for 3 LOBs, demonstrates ability to operate 3 types of trucks.
- Lead Driver: Develops training plans, coaches employees, completes route sheets for all LOBs.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Class A or B CDL License.
- At least 18 years old.
- Legally eligible to work in the US.
- Physical ability to handle heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective listening and problem-solving skills.
- Dedication to providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
