About the Role
As a Customer Delivery Driver, you are the face of Capital Electric on the road. Your commitment to safety and efficiency ensures our customers get the materials they need, when they need them. We’re looking for a reliable, customer-focused individual who takes pride in their work and is ready to make an impact.
Responsibilities
- Follow instructions, collaborate with co-workers, and prioritize tasks effectively throughout the workday.
- Accurately check, stage, and load materials onto the delivery truck.
- Create and process all required shipping manifests.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and operate the delivery truck safely and responsibly.
- Deliver materials to customer sites or Capital Electric branches efficiently and on time.
- Unload materials to customer-requested locations and provide exceptional service.
- Manage the pickup and unloading of customer returns accurately.
- Approach all interactions with a positive, engaging, and customer-first mindset, serving both internal and external customers with consistency and professionalism.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Ability to pass DOT physical.
- 2 years of tractor-trailer or flatbed driving experience.
- One year with no prior traffic violations or license suspensions.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs consistently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
- Comfortable working with both internal and external customers.
- Creative thinker to resolve unexpected delivery issues.
- Reliable, responsible, and a strong work ethic.
