As a CDL Driver/Material Handler, you will be essential to our logistics and supply chain operations. This role includes the safe and efficient transportation of materials, equipment, and products, along with material handling and inventory management tasks. The position requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Schedule

Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM until 4:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain commercial vehicles while ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
• Transport materials and products to designated locations efficiently and on time.
• Load and unload materials to ensure proper handling and secure transportation.
• Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips, perform basic maintenance checks, and promptly report any issues.
• Assist with material handling tasks such as organizing, labeling, and maintaining inventory.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation for trips and material movements.
• Communicate clearly with coworkers and clients to ensure smooth operations.
• Promote and adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including vehicles and warehouse spaces.

Required qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and applicable regulations.
• Ability to operate trucks, forklifts, and other vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Basic computer proficiency for completing documentation and communicating effectively.
• Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy objects.

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Certifications in forklift operation or material handling.

Work environment

The work environment includes a combination of driving, warehouse, and loading dock settings. You may routinely be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and physical tasks as part of your responsibilities.
