About the Role
Provide timely delivery of product to our customers. Represent ThyssenKrupp Materials, NA in a positive manner by providing customers with quick, precise, helpful, courteous, and professional delivery service. Ensure the truck is in proper working order and perform various duties as required.
This position has been identified as “safety sensitive” by ThyssenKrupp under applicable laws. Accordingly, any application for this position requires successful completion of pre-employment drug testing, which may include testing for marijuana in accordance with any applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Responsibilities
- Use Radio Frequency Gun to verify that correct items are loaded on the truck for delivery.
- Perform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that the load is properly fastened down and secure.
- Assist in loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring the truck is properly secured and not overweight.
- Ensure that material is properly protected from outdoor elements.
- Deliver product and proper paperwork to customers in a courteous and timely manner.
- Ensure that any debris caused by loading/unloading is cleaned up.
- Maintain trucks overall service and perform required inspections.
- Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift, including daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection, and hours of service.
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Collect any COD money owed and ensure it is given to the proper personnel upon return to the plant.
- Provide feedback to supervision regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problems on returned proof of delivery sheets (load sheet).
- Assist in activities related to lean and/or quality.
- Train others when required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Applicable motor vehicle licensing (e.g., CDL class A and/or B or class 1 or class 3 in Canada).
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds on a continuous basis.
- Safety mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of driving experience.
Pay
$27.58 hourly with a $0.75 shift differential for a total of $28.33 hourly.
