ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drives truck to destination.
  • Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
  • Maintains driver log according to DOT and I.C.C. regulations.
  • Affords assistance to workers in loading and unloading truck.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
  • Practices the highest level of responsibility and safety.
  • Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product while continuously striving for improvement in all materials processes.
  • Operates forklift.
  • Cleans and performs operator maintenance on assigned equipment and responsible for maintaining a quality work environment including good housekeeping (i.e. 5S).
  • Develops and adheres to the policies, procedures and instructions of the MMOG and ISO 14001 systems.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Oklahoma Commercial Drivers License

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to sit;
  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel;
  • Talk or hear;
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds;
  • Occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch;
  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts;
  • Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; and vibration;
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
