About the role
The Driver-Large Store Delivery position at Coca-Cola United is a non-touch freight role responsible for making deliveries to customers along assigned routes.
Responsibilities
- Transports and unloads products to customers
- Communicates any store-level issues to management
- Maintains compliance with DOT rules for driving purposes
- Maintains rapport with customers
- Establishes and maintains positive relationships with all customers
- Provides feedback and recommendations to leadership on competitive threats and business opportunities
- Communicates any store-level issues to management
- Responsible for safeguarding company assets
- Collects any breakage or outdated product, including empty shells and pallets
- Accurately accounts for all cases and customer transactions
- Ensures proper care of product, equipment, and route settlement daily
- Buils strong relationships with customer base across assigned customers
- Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Minimum of 21 years old
- Class A Commercial Valid Driver’s License required, and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
- Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
- Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
- Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 to 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Must be able to operate a manual or motorized pallet jack
