CDL Class B Tankwagon Driver

About the role

The truck driver will perform routine and complex transportation tasks, operating a tractor with a tanker trailer to pick up propane/fuel at supply points and deliver it to area facilities.

Responsibilities

• Drive assigned tractor/tanker trailer to pick up propane/fuel and deliver to assigned facilities
• Perform required daily vehicle inspections
• Safely and efficiently transfer products between transport and bulk storage
• Maintain DOT compliance
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance
• Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• One (1) year relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job
• Valid Class B State Driver’s License with HazMat and Tanker Endorsements
• Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving
• Ability to safely drive various vehicles
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, and the general public
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions
• Ability to make independent judgments which have moderate impacts on the organization
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds

Schedule

Full-time, 45+ hours per week (5AM–3PM)
