CDL Class B Driver – Vactor & Hydro Excavation Operator

About the role

Sewer Cleaning Company, LLC is hiring a CDL Class B Driver / Vactor & Hydro Excavation Operator for a local, home‑every‑night position in Northeast Ohio. You’ll operate combination Vactor and hydro excavation trucks on commercial, municipal, industrial, and residential projects, with paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate Vactor and hydro excavation trucks
• Perform hydro excavation around gas, water, and electric utilities
• Clean catch basins, storm drains, manholes, lift stations, grease traps, and sanitary lines
• Perform high‑pressure jetting and vacuum work
• Haul and properly dispose of debris
• Set up work zones and traffic control
• Maintain, fuel, grease, and inspect your truck

Requirements

• Valid Ohio Class B CDL with Air Brake endorsement
• 21+ years old (insurance requirement)
• Insurable driving record
• No DUI within the last 5 years
• No more than 2 moving violations within the last 3 years
• Pass DOT drug screen, DOT physical, background check, and MVR review
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs
• Comfortable working outdoors in all Ohio weather
• Willing to work overtime and occasional Saturdays

No prior Vactor or hydro excavation experience required; the company provides hands‑on training and pays for required certifications (Tanker endorsement, OSHA 10/30, confined space, traffic control).

Pay

$25–$27 per hour, depending on experience; overtime paid after 40 hours; paid every two weeks.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, start around 7:00 AM, typically finished between 4:00–5:00 PM; occasional Saturdays; home every night; all work local throughout Northeast Ohio.
