CDL Class B Driver

About the role

As a CDL Class B Driver, you will safely transport and unload metal and/or glass products to customers while providing strong customer service and resolving issues that may arise. This position reports directly to the Fleet Manager and is ideal for a safety-focused, self-motivated individual who is flexible with shift start and end times. Responsibilities

• Handle, load, and unload glass and/or metal products
• Perform load securement and daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Complete multiple deliveries and interact with customers
• Unload loose, crated, and racked glass, metal, and associated products, including operating boom cranes
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance
• Ensure safe task performance and strict adherence to all DOT regulations, company safety policies, procedures, and Critical Safety Rules
• Read and interpret mathematical measurements of glass sizes, delivery schedules, and use a tape measure effectively

Requirements

• Must meet all DOT requirements, including an unexpired Medical Examiner’s Certificate
• Flexibility with start and end times
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Minimum of 2 years flatbed experience
• Must be available to spend 2 nights out per week
• Interstate CDL Class B (able to drive across state lines)
• Air Brakes Endorsement (required—all fleet trucks are equipped with air brakes)
