CDL Class B Boom Driver

Duties And Responsibilities

• Drive trucks from the facility to designated job sites safely and in a timely manner.
• Load and unload building materials on and off trucks and carry materials onto job sites.
• Keep mileage logs as necessary.
• Able to follow directions from dispatcher/branch management.
• Able to convey directions and work effectively with a partner.
• Operate forklifts periodically.
• Use personal protective equipment as required.
• Responsible for care and maintenance of assigned vehicle.
• Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Notify branch management immediately on any unsafe loading condition.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Education And/Or Experience: Some schooling is preferred.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Clean driving history record.
• Participate in mandatory federally programs.

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Frequent lifting and carrying objects including overhead lifting (weights will vary from 50 to 150 pounds).
• Dexterity to manipulate and utilize equipment on an as needed basis.
• Obtain visual acuity.
• Exposed to environmental surroundings - e.g. dust and varying temperatures.
