CDL Class A Regional Driver

About the role

Established in 1983, Star Nursery is seeking qualified, motivated drivers for various positions, including full-time and part-time, local and regional, class A, B, and C licensed driver positions, to deliver aggregate and/or nursery products within the desert southwest area of Nevada, Arizona, and Utah to their 16 store locations and/or directly to customers.

Responsibilities

• Understand and safely operate assigned vehicles to transport goods to intended destinations.
• Perform pre and post trip equipment inspections daily.
• Adhere to company rules, regulations, operating standards, and policies.
• Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to weather and road conditions.
• Be OSHA Safety compliant and DOT/FMCSA/ELD compliant.
• Maintain clean vehicles and notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues.
• Maintain appropriate paperwork, including customer signatures, working hours, etc.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with necessary class A and/or endorsements for the position.
• No current driving record suspension or revocation.
• Complete a Pre-employment drug screening.
• Provide an approved Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and pass a Pre-employment background check.
• No failed or refused drug or alcohol tests in the last 5 years, including DWI, DUI, and BAC’s.
• Have a minimum of 2-year verifiable driving experience for CDL drivers.
• Able to lift, push, and/or pull at least 50 lbs.
• Able to sit for long periods of time, stand, bend, kneel, and/or climb.
• Able to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to provide all DOT/FMCSA required documents, such as a current medical certificate and up to 10 years of verifiable driving work history.
