CDL Class A Owner/Operator Crude Hauler

About the role

This full-time, on-site CDL Class A Owner/Operator Crude Hauler role is based in Roosevelt, UT.

Responsibilities

• Safely haul crude oil from well sites and production facilities to designated delivery points, following all company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding schedules, routes, and any issues encountered.
• Ensure strict adherence to DOT, state, and local regulations, as well as Prairie Field Services’ safety policies and procedures.
• Perform basic truck and trailer upkeep, promptly reporting maintenance needs.
• Represent the company in a professional, courteous manner.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with tanker and hazardous materials endorsements, and a clean driving record with verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Proven experience hauling crude oil or similar bulk liquid commodities, with strong knowledge of safe loading, unloading, and product handling procedures.
• Comprehensive understanding of DOT, FMCSA, and applicable state regulations, including hours-of-service rules and required documentation.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, including consistent use of PPE, adherence to site-specific safety protocols, and strong situational awareness in field environments.
• Strong vehicle inspection and basic mechanical skills, with the ability to identify and report maintenance issues and perform routine checks on truck and trailer systems.
• Educated in and able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, including clear coordination with dispatch, field personnel, and customers.
• Reliable time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage schedules, maintain accurate logs, and handle required paperwork and electronic recordkeeping.
