About the Role

The Davey Tree Expert Company offers a key opportunity in Utility Line Clearance as a CDL Class A or B Groundperson. VanCuren Tree Services, a Davey company, provides comprehensive tree care services for residential, commercial, and utility needs in the greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio region.

Responsibilities

• Provides support for crew members by controlling lowering ropes, limbs, and persons from aloft
• Supplies tools for tree workers
• Controls road and sidewalk traffic using warning devices and other methods
• Cuts, chips, and loads brush and wood
• Ensures proper job site cleanup

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A or B required
• Pesticide license, if required by state law
• Herbicide license a plus
• Line clearance certification if working near utility transmission lines
• ISA Certified Tree Worker certification or willingness to obtain
