CDL Class A Driver Yard Spotter

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently move trailers to and from dock doors.
• Communicate all trailer movements to the Shipping Lead.
• Operate a hydraulic fifth wheel and TADC with 53’ dry van.
• Move trailers in and out of dock doors for loading and unloading.
• Repeatedly climb in and out of the tractor to hook and unhook trailers.
• Ensure trailers are clean and free of debris before putting to dock.
• Adhere to all company policies, State, local, and Federal laws.
• Ensure the load is secured before dropping the trailer.
• Communicate all issues related to yard operations to the Manager on duty.
• Note and correct all appropriate asset repairs prior to preloading assets.
• Perform a daily shift communication transition prior to the start of the shift.
