CDL Class A Driver & Shipping Helper
Job Summary
The CDL Class A Driver / Shipping Helper is responsible for safely transporting materials and supporting daily shipping and receiving operations within the fabrication facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles to transport materials, pipe spools, and equipment to and from job sites, vendors, and other locations
- Ensure all loads are properly secured and compliant with DOT regulations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any issues immediately
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and required documentation
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety standards
- Assist with inventory handling and material staging
- Assist with loading and unloading materials using forklifts or other equipment
- Support other departments as needed during downtime from driving duties
- Follow all PPE requirements and safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping/receiving area
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record
- Must have a DOT Medical Card
- Minimum 2+ years of commercial driving experience required
- Experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or construction environment preferred
- Forklift experience preferred (or willingness to be trained)
- Ability to lift-up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically active environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
