Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely transports heavy machinery, oversized loads, and specialized equipment using a lowboy trailer
- Safely transports material using walking/live floor trailers
- Obeys all local, State, Federal and IDOT regulations
- Inspects truck and equipment before leaving and after arriving at locations
- Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections
- Follow all Homer Tree Service Procedures and Safety Standards
- Adequately adhere to all safety requirements particular to the equipment, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Maintain a clean truck, equipment or machinery
- Assist in loading and unloading of materials
- Transport materials from place of origin to assigned destination
- Work effectively, both independently and as a team
- Multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Wisconsin Class-A CDL with air brake endorsement
- Must have a minimum 2 years’ experience as a CDL driver
- Must have a clean driving record with no moving violations
- Must have a clean background check and drug test
- Must have experience in lowboys and walking/live floors, manual transmissions, double axles
- Must have OSHA familiarity/training
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Adequate diligence in attention to detail and safety
- Adequate verbal communication and customer orientation
Benefits
- Pay Range: $25-$30/hr
- Pay is determined by experience, skill, education, and other factors
