CDL Class A Driver

Responsibilities

• Arrive at specified daily scheduled starting time.
• Drive vehicle safely and courteously according to Fleet Safety guidelines.
• Load and unload product as required and properly place delivered items.
• Complete inventory of designated products for required customers.
• Complete and return necessary paperwork including signed proof of deliveries, credit memos, and route summaries.
• Communicate customer concerns to Team Leader/Supervisor.
• Maintain professional relationships with all customers.
• Verify invoice and delivered products for accuracy.
• Collect and submit payments for deliveries when required.
• Maintain cargo area at proper temperature.
• Available for varied scheduled work hours as assigned.
• Wear only authorized uniform during working hours.
• Report all mechanical problems to Garage department.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and forward copies to assigned location.
• Fuel vehicle as required.
• Log daily activity using ELD and adhere to hours of service requirements.
• Comply with corporate and regulatory quality, GLP, and safety regulations.
• Support process improvements that provide value to the customer.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Valid and updated medical certification.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Adherence to work hours scheduled specifically starting, ending, lunch, and break schedules.
• Good physical health, vision, hearing, blood pressure, and pulse.
• Physical abilities to walk, bend, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel daily.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and be subject to random testing.
• Ability to inspect job-related equipment and use hands/fingers to operate various types of office equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and/or push/pull 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Qualifications

• Must have a CDL.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid and updated medical certification.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must adhere to work hours scheduled specifically starting, ending, lunch, and break schedules.
• Must be physically capable of performing the job duties listed above.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to random testing.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and/or push/pull 50 pounds on a regular basis.
