E.A. Sween is hiring a CDL B Shuttle Driver in Denver, CO. This is a highly physical, hands-on role — you will drive a 26-ft straight truck to local vendors, pick up fresh food products, and personally load and unload product throughout the day. Between vendor pickups, you will work in the warehouse supporting staging, unloading, and empty crate organization.
Pay & Schedule
- $29.00 per hour
- Fixed Wednesday–Saturday schedule
- 4-day workweek
- Typical start time: 8:00 AM
- 10–12 hour shifts based on business needs
- Earlier starts required on heavy-volume days
- Local driving — home every day
- Overtime available
- Holiday availability required when holidays fall on scheduled workdays
Responsibilities
- Drive a 26-ft CDL B straight truck with air brakes
- Travel to Denver-area vendors to pick up product
- Personally load and unload product throughout the day
- Support warehouse staging between pickups
- Help unload incoming product
- Organize and manage empty crates
- Move crates, totes, cases, and other products safely using dollies, handcarts, pallet jacks, and liftgate equipment
- Verify product counts and required paperwork
- Secure loads for safe transportation
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain DOT logs and required documentation
- Move trucks in the yard after route drivers return
- Transport trucks to and from repair shops as needed
- Assist with truck movement before 6:00 AM on heavy-volume days
- Provide occasional emergency route coverage when needed
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class B with air brake endorsement
- Clear FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse status
- At least 6 months of box truck driving experience
- Experience operating a 26-ft box truck or larger commercial vehicle
- MVR that meets company guidelines
- Strong backing and maneuvering skills
- Willingness to perform physical warehouse work between driving assignments
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to push/pull up to 300 lbs.
- Comfortable with frequent climbing, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and outdoor work
- Must pass required DOT physical, drug screen, physical assessment, background check, and MVR review
