CDL B Local Delivery Truck Driver

About the role

Be home daily as a Fresh Produce Delivery Driver. This is a salaried position with starting pay of $1250 per week. Touch freight will be required, and you will interact directly with clients while providing customer service. Early morning shifts start between 4am and 6am.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicle to deliver food and restaurant items.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections; maintain vehicle supplies and equipment to ensure proper working condition.
• Operate vehicle safely, obeying all traffic laws and established traffic patterns.
• Safely utilize a 2-wheeled dolly to unload products from the truck.
• Provide excellent customer service during product deliveries.
• Complete required invoicing; turn in all receipts and cash collections from deliveries.
• Maintain records such as vehicle logs, manifests, and invoices in accordance with regulations.
• Immediately report any mechanical problems encountered with the vehicle.

Requirements

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Valid CDL “B” license with a clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Valid Medical Card as required by DOT.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs. frequently.
• Able to use a 2-wheeled dolly, navigate ramps and stairs, and carry loads of up to 300 lbs.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be able to perform basic math (addition and subtraction).

Working Conditions

• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions (hot/cold, wet/dry) depending on the season.
• Enter coolers or freezer areas to deliver products.
• Moderate noise levels.

Physical Requirements

• Drive for long periods of time.
• Walk, sit, speak, read, and hear.
• Bend, reach above and below shoulders, and lift heavy objects up to 75 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay

$1250 per week (salaried).

Schedule

Early morning shifts starting between 4am and 6am. Home daily.
