CDL-B Driver

About the role

As a CDL Class B Truck Driver, you operate a waste hauling truck to provide residential trash and recycling pickup. You typically work within about 150 miles of your home, lifting and carrying residential waste and depositing it into a compactor. Throughout the day you remain attentive to safety, reporting any defects, accidents, or violations, and you inspect the vehicle for mechanical and safety issues, reporting preventative maintenance needs to management. You enjoy being on the road rather than stuck in an office.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate around 150 miles of home
• Complete daily pre and post trip inspections
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods, etc.) as well as company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Report any and all defects, accidents, or violations
• Carry out other duties as needed or instructed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience
• No more than one moving violation on your MVR within the last 3 years
• CDL Class A/B
• Must be at least 21 years of age

Schedule

• Home daily, Monday‑Friday
• Shift length 10‑12 hours
• Additional hours may be needed
