CDL-B Driver

About the role

Ecowaste Solutions is one of the fastest-growing companies in the waste management industry, delivering essential services that keep communities and businesses running. We're looking for driven, safety-minded Class B CDL Truck Drivers to operate waste hauling trucks for residential trash and recycling pickup. If you're happiest out on the road instead of behind a desk, this role is built for you.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a waste hauling truck within approximately 150 miles of home.
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods, etc.) as well as company policies and procedures.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Lift and carry residential waste and deposit it into a compactor.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and report preventative maintenance needs to the management team.
• Report any defects, accidents, or violations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class B driving experience required.
• CDL Class A or B required.
• No more than one moving violation on MVR within the last 3 years.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Regularly operate a commercial vehicle within approximately 150 miles of home.
• Frequently lift and carry residential waste and deposit it into a compactor throughout the shift.
• Regular entering, exiting, and maneuvering of the truck for loading and unloading.
• Work is performed on the road in varying weather conditions.

Schedule

Home daily, Monday through Friday, with shifts typically running 10-12 hours; additional hours may be needed based on business needs.
