About the role
Beichner Waste Services, Inc. is seeking a CDL Driver with either a valid Class B or Class A license. Starting pay depends on experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of solid waste vehicles to collect and transport solid waste and recycling materials.
- Operate mechanisms for loading, compressing, and dumping refuse and recyclable materials.
- Drive to designated areas to deliver refuse and recyclable materials.
- Safely operate the truck, pack and dump apparatus.
- Ensure the truck is fueled, lubricated, serviced, and washed inside and out.
- Report needed repairs immediately.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete daily work sheets for equipment operated.
- Knowledge of traffic laws involved in equipment operation, safe operations of and safety precautions necessary in operation of equipment, including various types of solid waste collection trucks.
- Communicate effectively, establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, and the public.
Requirements
- CDL B or A license.
- Considerable knowledge of safety standard practices and relevant traffic laws governing operation of vehicles.
- Considerable knowledge of the principles, operation, and servicing of trucks and related automotive equipment.
- Able to properly use, operate, and care for tools, equipment, and materials.
