CDL B Delivery Driver/Warehouse

About the role

Richards Building Supply Co. is currently searching for a CDL Class B Driver/Warehouse Associate for their Charlotte, NC location.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver products to the job site and physically unload material per the customer's request.
• Physically receive materials in the warehouse, load trucks, and process inventory.
• Provide superior customer service by double-checking all loads for accuracy and ensuring they are thoroughly secured for delivery.
• Support the warehouse by moving materials and items from receiving to its designated area.
• Pull orders for walk-in customers.
• Deliver flatbed and Moffett products as needed.
• Operate within compliance of securing and distributing weight limits according to DOT regulations.
• Unload shingles on one and two-story homes.

Requirements

• 1 year CDL Class B delivery driving experience required.
• Must be able to continually lift 50-100 lbs. of material throughout the day. Some lifting over 100 lbs. will be required.
• Load trucks with material scheduled for the day’s deliveries within compliance of securing and distributing weight limits according to DOT regulations.
• Deliveries will include unloading shingles on one and two story homes.
• Provide warehouse support including shipping/receiving.
• Move materials and items from receiving to its designated area.
• Pull orders for walk-in customers.
• Must have a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B with Air Brake Endorsement.
• 1 year CDL Class B driving experience or 2 years CDL Class A driving experience.
• Moffett and flatbed operating experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Current DOT medical card.
• Clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Significant heavy lifting experience.
• Pass background check and pre-employment DOT drug screen.
